Stamp Duty Payments Now Enabled via UPI for Beneficial Owners (BOs)

As per the latest CDSL circular, Beneficial Owners (BOs) can now pay stamp duty for off-market and invocation transactions via Unified Payments Interface (UPI).

Here’s what you need to know:

All UPI payments must be made only to: cdsl.stamp.dep@validhdfc

How to Pay

1. Visit www.cdslindia.com

2. Go to ‘Quick Links’ → ‘Stamp Duty’ → ‘Stamp Duty Payment’

3. Choose Entity Type: Beneficial Owner (BO)

4. Enter required details: BO ID, Name, Mobile, Email, Amount

5. Enter your UPI ID → Verify → Proceed for Payment

6. Approve the UPI request sent from cdsl.stamp.dep@validhdfc

Other Payment Modes

You can also pay via NEFT / RTGS / IMPS using your Virtual Account Number (VAN):
Format: CDSD<your 16-digit BO ID>
Ensure correct BO ID to avoid auto-reversal.

Important Reminders

• Use only the official UPI handle for payments

• Do not make payments via cheque, DD, or Pay Order

• Note the Order ID for future reference

• Refunds, if needed, can be requested via email with supporting details
