As per the BSE circular dated 12 January 2026, the expiry date for SENSEX Weekly Options contracts originally scheduled for Thursday, 15 January 2026, has been preponed to Wednesday, 14 January 2026, due to the trading holiday on account of Municipal Corporation Elections in Maharashtra.
This change applies to all relevant weekly options under the BSE Derivatives segment.
What this means for you:
If you are holding any SENSEX weekly options contracts expiring on 15 January 2026, please note that these contracts will now expire on 14 January 2026.
Ensure your trade exits, rollovers, or settlements are completed before market close on 14 January to avoid any disruptions.
