As part of the Tata Motors demerger, two new scrips have been credited to your Demat account:
The official Cost of Acquisition (COA) for these scrips is still pending from the company.
What you need to know:
Until the COA is released, you may see a different price reflected in your portfolio for these scrips
As a result, your buy average may appear different
For the original Tata Motors shares, the old buy average will remain
For the new scrips, the closing price will be shown as the buy average and may change daily
These values will be updated once the official COA is received
This is a structural update as part of the corporate action
Your total investment value and ownership remain unchanged
There is no action required from your end at this stage
Note: If you have already sold the Tata Motors scrips after the demerger, the COA update will still apply retroactively. Your realised P&L will be adjusted once the official COA is released.
We will notify you as soon as the COA is received and your portfolio is updated accordingly.
