Options Analysis
Use this category to analyse data from the option chain: put/call open-interest ratio (PCR), ATM straddle cost, max pain, implied volatility and Greeks.
PCR compares aggregate put OI with call OI. An ATM straddle cost adds the call and put premiums at the strike closest to the underlying price. Max pain is a calculation based on open interest and strike distance; it is a positioning measure, not a price forecast. Greeks and IV describe option sensitivities and should be interpreted in the context of the selected expiry.
The trading skill provides helper functions in scripts/option_chain.py. Any proposed trade based on this analysis still needs instrument validation, a margin check, a dry run and live action confirmation.
