Individual App

A FYERS API app connects your application to your FYERS account. Create the app before starting authentication or making API requests.

Individual apps are created for your own personal usage. An individual app can be used only by the creator of the app; no other client can log in and make use of it. To let other FYERS clients log in to your application, use a Third-Party App.

Trading app and non-trading app

There are two types of individual apps. Use a trading app to place orders. Use a non-trading app when you only need data.

Create a non-trading app in the API Dashboard

A non-trading app gets Profile details, Transaction info, Historical data, and Quotes and market data. Order placement is not granted.

Securely store the App ID and App Secret the dashboard gives you. You need both for authentication.

Redirect URI

After a user logs in with their FYERS credentials, they are redirected to the app’s redirect URI with the authorization details. This applies to both trading and non-trading apps.

We recommend the FYERS redirect URL:

https://trade.fyers.in/api-login/redirect-uri/index.html

You can also use any other redirect URL. If you use your own, it should be an endpoint you control, because the auth code it receives is sensitive information.
