Single Order
This API allows you to place an order without waiting for the exchange response.
USE CASE
Place orders in quick bursts and get an immediate acknowledgement, then track each one on the General WebSocket or order book.
Note
stopLoss and takeProfit are not supported with async order placement.
Details
- Same JSON attributes as synchronous Place order (
/api/v3/orders/sync).POSTto/api/v3/orders/async. - Placing orders needs an app with the Order Placement permission. The request attributes are the same as the sync Single Order API.
- An HTTP 200 response only means the request was queued. It does not mean the order was placed or accepted by the exchange.
- The queue sends requests on at most 10 orders per second.
- The response returns
id_fyersand notid. Matchid_fyerswith the order updates on the General WebSocket, which carry both identifiers, or with the order book. - Price inputs must still be multiples of the symbol tick size, and quantity must follow the lot-size rules.
- To change or cancel this order, use Modify Single Order or Cancel Single Order.
- Rate limits differ between the Standard and Prime plans. See Plans & rate limits.
