Details

  • Tick-by-tick data is available only for NFO (NSE Futures & Options) and NSE equity symbols.
  • See Rate limits for connection and channel limits.
  • A subscribe request needs the symbols, the mode (depth) and a channel number. Data starts only after you resume that channel.
  • The first packet for a subscription is a snapshot. Later packets hold only the differences, which you apply to the snapshot. The SDKs do this for you.
  • Server errors come through the error-message callback (on_error_message in Python, servererror in Node). In a response, error is true, feeds is empty and msg mostly holds the error message.
  • In the Node SDK, call autoreconnect() before connect() to reconnect automatically after a disconnect. Send the string ping to keep the connection alive.
  • SDK support: TBT 50 depth is available from the Python SDK v3.1.7 (04 Mar 2025) and the Node SDK v1.4.1 (26 Mar 2025). See the Change Log.
