Tax P&L Report

This API allows you to fetch your tax profit and loss for a financial year, defaulting to the current one.

USE CASE

Get a financial year's profit and loss grouped for tax filing: trading, short-term, long-term, futures and options.

Details

Fetches all tax profit & loss for a specified date range. If no date range is provided, it defaults to the current financial year.
Choose the year with fin_year. This report has no from_date or to_date fields, and without fin_year it uses the current financial year.
Narrow the rows with transaction_type: 0 all, 1 TRADING, 2 SHORTTERM, 3 LONGTERM, 4 Future_Book and 5 Option_Book.
The segment filter is called segment here: 0 all, 1 equity, 2 equity derivatives, 3 mutual funds, 4 currency derivatives and 5 commodity derivatives. There is no exchange filter.
Results are paged: page_size defaults to 100 and page_no to 1. The sample response also returns total_count, and its summary_data includes net_ltcg and net_stcg.

`buy_date`	string	Date when the stock, contract, or MF units were purchased.
`buy_qty`	float	Total quantity or units bought.
`buy_rate`	float	Price per unit, share, or contract at which it was bought.
`sell_date`	string	Date when the stock, contract, or MF units were sold.
`sell_qty`	float	Total quantity or units sold.
`sell_rate`	float	Price per unit, share, or contract at which it was sold.
`pnl_amount`	float	Profit or loss amount from the specific trade or redemption.
`total_days`	int	Number of total calendar days between buy and sell date.
`isin`	string	Unique identification number for the stock or mutual fund.
`turnover`	float	Trade value considered for tax purposes based on transaction type.
