These changes are no longer applicable and 20th January will be a normal trading day for equity and equity derivatives. For more details, refer to this notice.
This is to inform you that the NSE & BSE will be conducting a special live trading session on Saturday, 20th January 2024, in the Equity and F&O segments. This session includes an intra-day switchover from the Primary site to the Disaster Recovery (DR) site.

Risk Management System (RMS) Changes:
- T1 selling is not allowed; stocks bought on 19th January cannot be sold on 20th January.
- MTM Credit CNC sell benefits and profits will not be credited for trading on 20th January. These will be credited on 22nd January.
- Intraday, CO, and BO orders are not allowed for trading.
- Orders placed between 9:15 AM and 10:00 AM will not be carried to the second session. Pending and partially unfilled orders will be canceled.
- No payout requests will be processed on Saturday.
- Pledge/Un-pledge requests will not be accepted.
- All securities (including those on which derivative products are available) will have a maximum price band of 5%. Securities already in the 2% or lower price band will continue to be available in the respective bands.
- All futures contracts will have a daily operating range of 5%.
Additional Notes:
- Currency and Commodity markets will remain closed.
- Our support lines will be operational from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
