Mandatory WebSocket Authentication from 30 September 2026

Update on 27 September 2026:

As part of a security enhancement, we are strengthening authentication for WebSocket connections. From 30 September 2026, all WebSocket connections will require a valid access token. Connections with an invalid or expired access token will be rejected.

The following requirements apply:

• Official FYERS SDK: No action is required if you are already passing a valid access token.
• Modified SDK or custom implementation: Ensure WebSocket authentication follows the official FYERS SDK.
• Access token format: Pass the token as app_id:access_token, as shown in the API documentation.

Please complete any required changes before 30 September 2026 to avoid disruption to WebSocket connections.

Update on 1 October 2026:

The deadline for mandatory WebSocket authentication has been extended from 30 September 2026 to 7 October 2026, giving users additional time to complete the required changes.

From 7 October 2026, connections with an invalid or expired access token will be rejected. Please complete any required changes before 7 October 2026 to avoid disruption. No action is required if you are already passing a valid access token through the official FYERS SDK.
