Hi Ganesh,
Thank you for highlighting this.
We will review the current fund blocking logic and evaluate how it can be aligned with industry practices.
12.49% is for 25 lakhs funding means almost for large capital traders. It is of no use to normal traders and moreover, you are still charging clearing charges on f&o.
Hi @bhupen_a,

Hi @mBoLlVKoqp,
We’ve listened to your feedback and revised the MTF interest structure. It’s now slab-wise, with rates going as low as 12.49% p.a., giving users more flexibility and better value. More details: MTF Interest Rates Explained - FYERS
Hi Ganesh,
We have your feedback, it will be available in upcoming enhancements.
Hi FYERS Team,
Could you please help me understand your RMS policy for MTF (Margin Trading Facility)?
For example, in Zerodha, MTF positions are auto-squared off if the loss reaches 80% of the broker’s funded amount or if the loss exceeds 20% of the client’s contribution.
What is FYERS’ policy in this regard?
Thanks in advance!
Hi @3582243105242770, Yes. For MTF (Margin Trading Facility) positions, if the loss reaches 80% of the client’s contribution, our RMS team will reach out and allow our clients to add funds and manage their position. If no action is taken within the given time, necessary measures, including square-off, may be initiated to limit further risk.
This approach is designed to help our clients manage risk effectively, while still providing the flexibility to act before any intervention is required.
hi
Large is subjective, Srikanth. Many of our clients are in that bracket. The more money we lend, the lesser we charge.
Hey @105622070007378473785, It’s only applicable for stocks at ETFs. F&O is a leveraged product with compulsory 100% upfront margining as per the exchanges’ requirements.
Hey @mganesh6496! Just wanted to share an MTF update you’ll want to know about.

The low mtf rates benefit only the high capital clients.
Hey @mganesh6496, from 2nd June 2025, MTF interest charges are displayed directly in your ledger now. Thanks for the valuable feedback!
Why are you or your team not commenting on clearing charges on f&o? No major brokers charges them. You are charging them even after becoming a self clearing member.
Moreover you don’t have a neat web platform till now. All your tools focus on trading from charts.
Hey @111637148373547409691, Just wanted to let you know that from 2nd June, the MTF interest isn’t flat anymore. It now follows a slab-wise structure, and if you’re using higher limits, the rate can go as low as 12.49% p.a. (around 0.034% per day), which is lower than the usual flat rate others follow.
Plus, the limit has been increased to ₹50 Lakhs, and the interest is charged only for the days you actually hold the position. You’ll also see the exact charge in your ledger, making it easier to track costs without any confusion. You can check the full update here.
