What happened?
Sir GST was charged, I am 100% sure about this. I have already share the information through email
Hope your concern has been addressed through the ticket, @mganesh6496. As updated, the interest is charged based on calendar days. If you sell the script on a Friday, the settlement will occur on Monday (i.e., T+1 day), so interest will apply for both Saturday and Sunday. Additionally, GST will not be charged on the interest for MTF. However, if it is charged, it will be refunded.
Thank you for implement tab switch feature. I hope MTF interest ledger also will be enable soon. @shruthi_shetty
If MTF positions are going in to loss, available funds are blocking. Once we take MTF position shouldn’t be block from available funds. If position is in loss more than 75%, then you can square off. If blocking available funds, then there is no purpose to use MTF. We have to keep adding more funds to take new trades. Other brokers are not blocking from available funds. Please look into this issue. @shruthi_shetty @tejas_khoday

Hi @K0YXF6PFpX, please find the responses below to your queries:
- You can leverage your trades with up to 900 selected MTF stocks. Please find the list here.
- Yes, the maximum MTF limit is capped at ₹10 lakhs.
MTF is available even for Futures and Options Trading?
Hi @105622070007378473785, you can only trade equity stocks. There are 900 eligible stocks for the Margin Trading Facility (MTF). You can find a detailed list of these stocks, along with their corresponding leverage options, on the MTF page within the FYERS App or on our website. Additionally, the MTF Margin calculator is available to help you with the calculations.
Hi Shruti ,
- Is it that the MTF is not available on all of the NSE 500 stocks ??
- What is the meaning of the MTF limit ? If I have a capital of 10 L , how much I can leverage ? Can I invest 40 L with 4x leverage for Intra Day Equity ?
Warm regds,

Hi @K0YXF6PFpX,
MTF Availability on NSE 500 Stocks: MTF (Margin Trading Facility) may not be available on all stocks within the NSE 500 list. Some stocks may be excluded due to their liquidity, volatility, or other factors. However, the list of eligible stocks for MTF includes over 900 stocks from the NSE. You can easily check the detailed list of these stocks and their corresponding leverage options on the MTF page within our** App** or on our website. The MTF Margin calculator is also available to help you make informed trading.
Meaning of MTF Limit: The MTF limit refers to the maximum exposure a client can have on margin trading. For any client, the total exposure in MTF is capped at Rs. 10 Lakhs. This means you can only use your capital to control up to Rs. 10 Lakhs worth of positions, regardless of the leverage available.
Leverage for Intraday Equity: Even though leverage may be available (like 4x), the total exposure limit of Rs. 10 Lakhs means you cannot exceed this limit, even if you’re looking to trade intraday. To hold a Rs. 10 Lakh position with 4x leverage, you would need a capital of Rs. 2.5 Lakhs.
Hi @K0YXF6PFpX, Great news! Starting today, the MTF limit has been increased from ₹10 Lakhs to ₹25 Lakhs, giving you more flexibility to make the most of your margin trading. Happy trading!
The interest rate is much higher compared to major brokers like zerodha, dhan. They are charging in the range of 12-16% and you are charging 18% p.a. Kindly reduce the rates. Also, provide more leverage as zerodha is providing nearly 5x leverage on most of the stocks. Otherwise no one use MTF on Fyers due to above two reasons. You have linked MTF enabling to DDPI, again charging 150 INR.
@tejas_khoday you are not providing any added advantage now compared to peers. they are offering lesser interest along with more leverage than @communications_team .
Their transaction charges are high too compared with other brokers. For option selling their margin requirements are extremely high and you will have margin shortfall. Better avoid Fyers and go with quality brokers like Zerodha.
Appreciate you sharing your concerns here.
On the topic of margins: We’ve always prioritized a risk-first approach. It might look conservative compared to others, but it was deliberate for a while as the 90% margin rule kicked in, we had to make immediate adjustments as per regulatory requirements. As informed, it is now at par.
As for transaction charges, yes, we’ve heard this before. But if you actually compare end-to-end trading costs (slippages, outages related opportunity costs due platform reliability, etc.), the minor differences in brokerage or charges often pale in comparison to the bigger picture. Most serious traders know this. Moreover, we don’t levy many fees that other brokers do such as:
- A/C Opening,
- AMC,
- Pledge charges,
- Unpledge charges,
- Payment gateway charges, etc. Details provided here - https://fyers.in/charges-list/
Everything we do is within the regulatory framework, and capital requirements are stringent. In the end, if cost is your only deciding factor, there will always be someone cheaper. But if you’re looking for long-term consistency and a broker that doesn’t play games with your money, pick us. We’re getting better and I’m confident we’ll be the best platform for active traders such as yourself.
Hi @a7mxqMLDnd, The annualized number is a bit impractical to measure. The real difference is minimal because the holding period of MTF trades is like 1 week on average. So, the difference is a tiny fraction of what it looks like on an annualized scale. W.r.t leverage and list of stocks, our coverage is much higher in comparison, the best possible so far. But your feedback is noted.
Why exactly, @g.k.rai.cqi7asl2 ? If anything, the platform has gotten way better over the last year.
@tejas_khoday you charge a serious fees which is clearing charges on fno. No top.5 brokers charges them and you still continue to charge them after being a self-clearing member as well. Your team didn’t answer till date w.r.t this. Mostly you dont have a neat web platform like dhan or zerodha’s kite. Your focus lies mostly on chart based trading. Your app.fyers.in re-directs to trade.fyers.in for everything. Also, your scalper terminal is based on charts.
Despite being in this industry from few years, you are not even in Top.10 because of your drastic support team and lack of web platform & clearing charges.
Hi @a7mxqMLDnd,
Thank you for your feedback — we’ve heard you!
MTF interest rates have now been reduced to as low as 12.49% per annum.
We’ve moved from a flat-rate to a slab-wise interest model to provide greater benefits and flexibility to users.
