We've launched a few different AI tools recently, and I'm sure some of you are wondering, "Why are there three? Which one am I supposed to use?"
That's a fair question. The answer is that they are all built for different jobs and different types of traders.
I want to quickly clear this up. Here’s the simple breakdown.
1. FIA: Your Quick In-App Assistant
This is our own AI assistant built directly into the FYERS App, Web, and Trader. You can access it right on the FYERS platforms.
Best for: All traders. This is your default, go-to tool. It's the fastest way to get answers while you are trading. You can ask it to build a screener, analyse the option chain, or check your portfolio risk, all without leaving the app.
Example: You can ask it, “Analyse the option chain for Bank Nifty,” and it gives you a quick snapshot. Or you can ask a complex screener question like, “Identify midcap stocks within 5% of their 52-week high with higher-than-average volume.”

2. FIA GPT: Your Power-Tool Inside ChatGPT
This is our custom "app" (a GPT) that you add to your own ChatGPT account. You can access it inside the OpenAI GPT Store.
Best for: Traders who are already ChatGPT power users. It combines the general knowledge of ChatGPT with our live market data and (with your permission) your account context. It's great for more complex, conversational research.
Example: You can ask it, “Explain the 'Put-Call Ratio' in simple terms, and then show me the current PCR for NIFTY.” It can teach you the concept and then show you the live data.
If you're a ChatGPT user, you can learn it's capabilities and how to set it up here.
3. FYERS MCP: The "Engine" for Coders and Other AIs
This is the "engine" or the secure bridge. It is not an assistant itself. It's the core technology that lets other AI tools, like Claude or the Cursor code editor, securely connect to your FYERS account. It's an installer for your Windows or Mac.
Best for: Power users, coders, and traders who prefer AI tools like Claude and Cursor. If you don't use ChatGPT and want Claude to analyse your portfolio, you use the MCP installer. If you're a developer, this is what lets you pull your account data into your own scripts.
Example: You might prefer using Claude. With MCP installed, you can open Claude and ask, “Using my FYERS data, what is my current P&L?” or “Show me my sector-wise exposure.” MCP is the bridge that lets Claude securely see your account.
For coders and power users, you can refer to this blog.
Which One Should You Use?
So, for most of your daily trading, FIA is your tool. If you're a heavy ChatGPT user, add FIA GPT. If you're a coder or prefer using Claude, use FYERS MCP.
