We've all been experimenting with ChatGPT. It's great for writing an email, fixing some code, or learning a new topic.
But the minute you ask it a real trading question, it falls apart.
Ask it, "What's the NIFTY option chain looking like?" and it gives you a definition of an option chain. Ask it, "How's my portfolio doing?" and it gives up, saying it can't access personal data.
For traders, general AI is "book smart" but "market blind." It has no live data, and it has no context about your account.
We wanted to fix this.
So, we built FIA GPT. It’s our own custom, secure GPT available right inside the OpenAI store. You open it in your ChatGPT, connect your FYERS account, and suddenly, you have an assistant that actually understands trading.
How is this different from regular ChatGPT?
This is a fair question. The simplest answer is that we built FIA GPT to fix the two biggest problems traders have with regular AI.
1. It Has Live Market Data : Regular ChatGPT has a knowledge cutoff. It can't tell you what the NIFTY PCR is right now. It just gives you definitions. FIA GPT is connected to the live market. You can ask it to analyse a live option chain, pull a current chart, or check on news that's moving a stock today.
2. It Can Access Your FYERS Account : Regular ChatGPT knows nothing about you as a trader. FIA GPT can securely connect to your FYERS account. This means you can stop talking in hypotheticals (like, “What is a good portfolio?”) and start asking real questions about your own account (like, “What is my portfolio's sector exposure right now?”).
How is this different from the FIA in our app?
This is the other main question. We now have two FIAs, and they are built for different jobs.
FIA (In-App) is for quick, actionable insights. It's built into FYERS App, Web and Trader. You ask it to "find stocks with RSI < 30," and you can act on those results instantly (add to watchlist, set alert, etc.). It's built for speed and integration while you trade. FIA GPT is for deep, conversational research. It's a partner. You're not just getting an insight. You're having a conversation, combining ChatGPT's capabilities with your FYERS account and market data.

1. Learn Concepts and Apply Them
FIA GPT is a great research partner. You can go from learning a concept to applying it with live data, all in one simple conversation.
You ask: “Explain the 'Put-Call Ratio' in simple terms.” (FIA GPT uses its general knowledge to teach you the concept.)
You follow up: “Okay, now show me the live PCR for NIFTY and tell me what the market sentiment looks like.” (FIA GPT uses our live data to get you the answer.)
