Hi @GvYCRut1wF, This is an account opening query. You can get in touch with our account opening team. The contact details are mentioned here.

10 days ago? That’s strange. Do provide your registered Email ID so the team can trace your details and get in touch with you on priority. In the alternative, you can get in touch with them. Don’t worry about it.

Yes, please read this notice.

What about short selling in Intraday Trade…

Well, this discussion was supposed to be about the new pledge system :). But anyways, if you short a stock intraday, you’ll need a 20% upfront margin (5x leverage) to enter the position and exit the position separately. So a total of 40% required. It’ll take some time to be implemented though.

@tejas_khoday havent received any mail or sms as mentioned in todays notice that for existing pledged holding, unpledge and new pledge request is created. Please confirm.

Hope the collateral margin which I had got earlier will be available for me to trade tomorrow without any deviation.

Also please confirm since when new margin rules of 5x levarage will be in place in fyers.

Hi,

Do you mean - the 20% margin rule is yet to be implemented for INTRADAY Trading?

Tejas if I do an intraday trade today and end up in profit, when will I be able to use that unrealized margin for taking further positions?

One big broker says if I get intraday profit today (Monday), lI wi be able to use it on Wednesday only.

If for both - Buy and Sell in intraday, we have to keep total 40% margin (20% for buy and 20% for sell) then ideally the leverage in this case will be only 2.5X combined.

Yeah

Hi Tejas,

This is my first post on Forum thanks for Creating this Forum… Best wishes for this initiative.

Earlier there was 90% Margin on Liquidbees Pledged. What would be now margin for Liquidbees?

I use mostly this Pledged Margin for Option Selling … any impact on it?

Thanks in advance.

No, you will not be able to use intraday profits to take further positions on the same day. Why? SEBI wants the funds to be utilized after settlement. For example, in F&O settlement happens on T+1. So let’s say you made a profit of 1 lac on T day, this amount is actually received by the brokerage one day later but they take the risk and allow you to take positions on the same day.

Hi Tejas,

What about the intraday profits on stocks - equity cash (not F&O)?

Will it available after T+2 in this case?

  • Mentioned in our notice board.
  • Link is in the description of the discussion.
  • Email is sent.

W.r.t Intraday margins it’s currently status quo. Will post an update soon.

Hi Sachin, Haircut for Liquid Bees continues to be the same. If you have already pledged your holdings, w.e.f today unpledge is done so you’ll have to pledge using new mechanism as mentioned in our notice. Other than that, nothing changes.

Yes, that is my understanding as of now.

@tejas_khoday Thank you for taking out time to reply. Really appreciate it.

Quick followup question - Presume that I don’t need margins - and I pay 100% to make the purchase.

So if I purchase INR 100 worth of shares as a CNC order at 10:00 AM, and sell at 3:00 PM, will you consider this as an intraday trade?

And in such a case, will my account need INR 20 as a balance to execute the trade?

Thank you for being so responsive!

@45JsayC50X, Yes it will be considered an intraday trade. Pretty obvious. As per exchange norms, intraday trade will need ₹20 for buying and an additional ₹20 for selling (A total of 40% for both trades). Since you already paid 100% upfront margin using a CNC/delivery order type, you will not be asked to pay additional for the second leg because you have already paid 60% extra [100 - (20 + 20)],
