when I tried to do Paper Trading on Reliance stock, I got a pop up saying that NSE Reliance is not allowed. How to do Paper Trading on Indian Stocks in Trading View.
I think probably, as per Regulations, there shall be NO GAMIFICATION / VIRTUAL EVENT carried out with NSE Data.
Currently, there is TRADINGVIEW LEAP Competition running on TradingView.com globally and so NSE Symbols have been turned down in their Paper Trading section.
May be you can raise a support ticket with TradingView.com for actual clarification.
In Trading viewe running Virtual trading contest they restricted to trading in paper trade some stock
There are compliance restrictions for paper trading in India and for the same reason Indian securities wont be available for paper trading in Tradingview.
I come across some platforms dedicated to Paper trading/virtual trading. It is better for the customer to practice their virtual trading with brokers same interface perhaps with some words on the screen to show that is Paper trading. So, users actually become familiar with the interface what it will do. Fyers could create a paper trading with their same interface and beta interface, with separate server for paper trading with delayed (but continuous data) for practice.
You can use our Bar Replay feature: Bar Replay on FYERS: Practice Trading on Historical Charts
