Hi FYERS Support Team,
I am facing a possible P&L calculation/display issue in the FYERS Options Strategy Builder.
As shown in the attached screenshot:
- NIFTY 22750 PE
- Buy Price: ₹38.00
- LTP: ₹38.00
- Displayed P&L: ₹753.36
- NIFTY 24100 CE
- Buy Price: ₹34.45
- LTP: ₹34.45
- Displayed P&L: ₹842.16
- Total displayed P&L: approximately ₹1,595.51
However, I want to clarify that these positions were entered by SELLING the options, not by buying them.
Since the displayed Buy Price and LTP are exactly the same, I would like to understand:
- Why is the P&L showing a positive amount when the entry price and current LTP are the same?
- Is the displayed Buy Price actually representing the short-entry/sell price, or is it being labelled incorrectly?
- How exactly is the P&L being calculated for short option positions in the Strategy Builder?
- Please confirm whether the displayed ₹1,595.51 Total P&L is correct or whether this is a calculation/display issue.
Screenshot Reference
The attached screenshot clearly shows:
| Contract | Buy Price | LTP | Displayed P&L | Actual Entry |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| NIFTY 22750 PE | ₹38.00 | ₹38.00 | ₹753.36 | SELL |
| NIFTY 24100 CE | ₹34.45 | ₹34.45 | ₹842.16 | SELL |
| Total | ₹72.45 | ₹72.45 | ₹1,595.51 | Short positions |
Please investigate the P&L calculation and clarify how these values are being derived. If this is a known issue in the Strategy Builder, please confirm whether it is a bug and whether it will be corrected.
