Someone help me with an Options buying strategy that I can apply for this week’s Options expiry trade.
Hi @sindhu_pawar, I cannot give you exactly what strike prices to trade. However, as you seem to be a beginner trader, please note down the following points and follow them religiously:
Start small. Don’t invest more money than you can afford to lose.
Learn about the different types of options. There are many different types of options, each with its own risks and rewards. Understanding the different types of options is important before you start trading. Since you’re new to options trading, it’s a good idea to check out the School of Stocks (SoS) Options Strategies module.
Practice trading with a paper trading account. A paper trading account is a simulated account that allows you to trade options without using real money. This is a great way to learn how to trade options without risking any money. You can try paper trading in Tradingview.
Trading strategies to avoid risks:
-
Use stop-loss orders: A stop-loss order is an order to sell an option if the price of the underlying asset falls below a certain level. This can help you to limit your losses if the market moves against you quickly.
-
Diversify your portfolio: This means investing in a variety of different options, rather than just a few. This can help to reduce your risk if one option loses value.
-
Finally, it is important to do your research before you trade options. This means understanding the risks involved and the potential rewards. It also means understanding the underlying asset and the market conditions.
I understand that I might’ve not answered your question. However, I strongly recommend beginners start with Equity Intraday or Swing trading.
