Need API for Risk management

I need an API to set a maximum overall loss for the day, and also when that loss is hit:

• All positions are squared off and kill button should be activated so that you will be blocked from taking any new positions for that trading day.

Is there any API like this available in fyers ? or can anybody make it to use in fyers app ?

I request fyers team to build an API of the same for better risk management.

Hi @110708321299932537810 ,

I understand your concern. You can use the Smart Exit API to define an overall daily profit or loss limit for your positions.

“Take a Break” feature is currently available on Web and App. API support for this feature will be included in an upcoming release.

Until then, you can use the Smart Exit API to manage your risk & reward.

Thank you for quick response sir @naresh_janagama , i hope you will include this feature as described. it will be a game changer for many traders like me and Same is available in Dhan. “This feature is the only reason I am considering shifting to Dhan. However, we know that FYERS is not lagging behind any broker now — they will definitely be on par with any broker.”

I completely understand. At the moment, Smart Exit is exclusively available on FYERS. As mentioned earlier, the “Take a Break” feature will soon be enabled in the API as well. Stay tuned!

Dear FYERS Team,

FYERS has introduced the Take a Break (Kill Switch) feature, which is an excellent step towards responsible trading and emotional risk management.

Currently, this feature is available only through the FYERS App and Web platform.

However, for systematic and API-based traders, it would be extremely beneficial if this feature could be made available via API.

We request FYERS to provide an API endpoint that allows:

• Activating the Take a Break feature programmatically

• Automatically squaring off all open positions

• Blocking new trades for the rest of the trading day

This will enable traders to integrate broker-level discipline directly into their trading systems and improve risk management.
