Margin benefit issue

I am not getting margin benefit on multi leg option strategy execution. I am buying legs first, then selling. Still unable to execute all legs. For eg on 10 feb, margin required for my position as per margin calculator shud be 2.5L but actual margin used was 5L

Hey @mAak1xhqH0, Margin benefits are uniform across all brokerages based on exchange peak margins. Well, the reason you will need to buy the flies and then sell is that the system can calculate the maximum loss and provide you with the margin benefits accordingly. If you sell first, it’s a naked position, right?

I am doing that only, i.e. buying first and selling later. Still I was facing margin issue. The position I executed should use margin of 2.5L but actual margin utilized was 5L. I executed same position in another broker platform and there margin utilized was correct.

Do raise a support ticket. Something is off about this..

I raised a support ticket ID 636003 on 10th Feb 2022. Still no response from support.
