i want to trade in options. since BO and CO orders are disables in option trading how i can put my stop loss order. Further i buy/sell options in regular mode intend to hold but want to put stop loss for intraday what is the process.if possible please revert with proper screen short or step wise step clarification.
BO or CO orders are cancelled/disabled. Because of the market sell orders, which caused some freak trades with illiquid options in the past.
You mentioned buy/sell options in regular mode to hold!
By that do you mean to convert from intraday to positional or carry forward your positions?
In fyers you have to change your order type to margin to carry forward your position, it’s like CNC in cash segment.
And stop loss market orders are disabled. So you need to use stop loss limit orders to set a stop loss.
Don’t you need more margin for intraday stop loss limit order as it is not linked to your original buy order?
@x9JMuYaZSO No, that is what I’m using.
I placed a separate order after a position was open.
I don’t know, if there are other ways of using it.
It might require more margin, if you try to place a stop loss or sell order first before buy order.
@mahesh_kumar_ambati Thanks, I will try that
@x9JMuYaZSO what is that and does it work??
Please reply???
