How to get index data (NIFTY and BN spot) using websocket or data API?

I found the answer. I’ll leave it here for everyone else. It is “NSE:NIFTY-INDEX” and “NSE:NIFTYBANK-INDEX”

NIFTYBANK works for me, not NIFTY

Hi, neither “NSE:NIFTY50-INDEX” nor “NSE:NIFTYBANK-INDEX” work for me. I keep receiving message “pong received”. If I change the two symbols to anything else, like “NSE:NIFTY-INDEX”, “NSE:NIFTY” etc, i receive the following message “‘message’: ‘Please provide a valid symbol’”

For NIFTY & BANKNIFTY spot, NSE:NIFTY50-INDEX and NSE:NIFTYBANK-INDEX respectively has to be used.

There is issue with Nifty50 data as it is even showing values for a Sunday i.e. 8th August 2021. There are many other errors which need to be corrected asap.
