Smart exit has major bugs. I incurred loss of 40k+ due to this. Smart exit only has exclude option and we can not selectively run smart exits on selected positions. Previously also I reported same as part of Feedback on smart exit in Jan’2026, but the feedback was not implemented, even though the CEO himself acknowledged that the feature is required.
- Yesterday I opened one hedged position on Nifty50. It had 4 lots of 21000 CE sell and 2 lot of 22450 ce buy and another 2 lots of 22400 ce buy. Yesterday it had a combined profit of 39k, so i setup smart exit of target 4L and SL of profit +2k. It got squared of today morning with total loss of -19801. Should it happen at the market open, I can understand that the position was showing at loss at the market open and breached 2k SL trigger. But it squared off at 10.13 AM(check screenshot). How can you justify this?
2.Today morning I had another automation script, which triggered apollo hospital future position. The automation first takes a short position, then if SL is hit, then waits for some more condition and if the condition is met on SL, then again takes short position. If you observe the order timeline, at 9.15 it created short position and immediately SL was hit and it squared off. Then certain condition was met at 9.21 AM and it took short position again according to the automation plan. At 10.13.19 AM( the same second above Nifty position was squared off by smart exit), smart exit must have considered this new position as combined bucket and squared off this position. this is the effect of missing feature in smart exit.
- It does not end there, now comes the most interesting part. The automation had no clue of smart exit and that the position is already squared off, so at 10.17.14 AM, it triggered the SL signal and squared off, in order to do so, it opened a long position on Apollo hospital. Which I noticed later and squared off manually at 12.21 PM.
smart-exit and automation does not go hand in hand. The solution is pretty straight forward and to make smart exit to include on certain positions and operate on that bucket and should not consider effected by new opened positions, but unfortunately the feedback was never implemented and now I suffered 44k loss due to this issue.
