I’m curious why Fyers is still charging Clearing Member (CM) charges, even though Fyers became a Self-Clearing Member back in 2022 (as per your announcement). Most brokers don’t seem to charge CM fees. Could you please clarify why these charges still apply?
Thank you for your response, Shruthi. I’ve noticed that other brokers no longer charge CM fees after becoming self-clearing members. Since Fyers became a self-clearing member in 2022, I was a bit surprised to see CM charges still being applied in addition to the brokerage. I’d really appreciate some clarification on whether there’s any specific benefit to these charges.
Some community members raised this concern last year, but it seems there wasn’t a clear explanation or action taken. Overall, my experience with Fyers has been great, but the CM charges did catch me off guard, especially as they aren’t explicitly mentioned in the brokerage calculator but it is there in the contract notes.
If it’s possible to remove these charges and make it free, it would be greatly appreciated.
Hi @107733022703086034129 ,
Thank you for your valuable feedback. We appreciate your suggestion about displaying the net profit along with the charges in the journal. We’ll take this into consideration and keep you informed about any updates.
