I see there is a charge of Rs 100 or 2% for sell / exit / rebalance orders of themes. Is this applicable for standard Fyers provided themes? Or are they applicable to custom themes also? For example, I create my own theme. If I invest and rebalance, will I incur a charge?

Yes, that is correct. You’d be charged 100/- or 2% (whichever is lower).

Thanks @P5riXHjRDF. I think charging for rebalance with custom themes is a dealbreaker. Custom theme is an implementation convenience to define my own portfolio and manage it. Perfectly fine with an onetime charge while buying a custom theme. However, if I don’t use Thematic research for rebalances, I don’t see why a charge is required.
The equivalent option is Smallcase. There are subscription fees for smallcase created by RIAs. However, custom smallcases on Zerodha are charged only once while buying for first time at Rs 100+GST. In addition, Smallcase on Angel does not even charge this onetime fee.
