Revision in Expiry Day of BANKNIFTY weekly F&O contracts

NSE has announced a revision in the expiry day of weekly F&O contracts on BANKNIFTY from Thursday to Wednesday.

The changes will come into effect from 4th September 2023. The expiry day for BANKNIFTY monthly F&O contracts will continue to be on Thursday.

Does this implies there will be change in the trading symbols for BANKNIFTY weekly contracts?

Only the weekly expiry will change, while the symbol and monthly/Quarterly expiry remain the same. Read the article for more information.

Shall I replace the symbol NSE:BANKNIFTY2390743000PE to NSE:BANKNIFTY2390643000PE for 7 September?

Yes you have to make changes. Yes for upcoming weeks you also have changes
but please read that article this is for weekly expires not for monthly expires
