Questions regarding the use of MTF

I got an an email saying that i was invited to use fyer's mtf feature, and I have some questions regarding it.

  1. Can I buy shares without using mtf after activating it?

  2. Can i convert a MTF CNC order to Normal CNC order, as in can I buy 100 shares of x using mtf and then convert the 80 shares of x which was bought using the brokers margin to mine when I have enough money? And also vice versa?

  3. Can I buy the same share with and without using mtf. Let's assume that I have 1000 shares of y which I bought for long term, after some time of analysing the same stock again seeing that the stock can be really profitable on the short term, can I add 5000 more shares of y, this time using mtf?

Hi Temp AC, below are the answers to the requested questions regarding MTF:

1. Can I buy shares without using MTF after activating it?
Ans: Yes, you can buy shares without using MTF even after activating it as normal.

2. Can I convert an MTF CNC order to a Normal CNC order? For example, can I buy 100 shares of X using MTF and then convert 80 shares of X, which was bought using the broker's margin, to mine when I have enough money? And also vice versa?
Ans: You can only convert it if you buy the positions as a CNC and hold them for more than a day through MTF. In that scenario, you need to raise a ticket by emailing our support team at [email protected] requesting the same. If you have the funds, our team will convert it to Normal from MTF.

3. Can I buy the same share with and without using MTF? Let's assume that I have 1000 shares of Y which I bought for the long term. After some time, upon analyzing the same stock again and seeing that the stock can be really profitable in the short term, can I add 5000 more shares of Y, this time using MTF?
Ans: Yes, you can do this. Your initial 1000 shares will appear in your holdings, and the additional 5000 shares bought using MTF will appear in the Positions under the MTF column. However, there might be disturbances in the buy average.
