The introduction of the “Take a Break” (Kill Switch) feature is a commendable initiative towards promoting responsible trading and effective emotional risk management.
At present, this functionality is available only through the FYERS App and Web platform. We would like to request that this feature also be extended to the FYERS API suite, which would greatly benefit systematic and algorithmic traders.
Specifically, we request an API endpoint that enables users to:
• Programmatically activate the “Take a Break” / Kill Switch feature
• Automatically square off all open positions
• Restrict any new trade execution for the remainder of the trading day
Providing API access to this feature would allow traders to integrate broker-level safety controls directly into their automated trading systems, thereby strengthening discipline and overall risk management.
We believe this enhancement would be highly valuable for the growing community of API-based traders on FYERS.
