All-new Options Chain: Scalp, Adjust Positions and more

Every options trading session starts with one thing: analysing the Option Chain. It’s where all the options data comes together to help you spot the right opportunity. But the moment you make that decision, the workflow often gets interrupted. You open an order window, place the trade, then move to another screen to manage the position. In a fast-moving market, those extra clicks can break your rhythm.

We believe the Option Chain should not only help you find a trade. It should also help you execute and manage it. That’s why we’ve brought Scalper Mode and Position management directly into the Option Chain.

One-click Order Placement Using Scalper in the Option Chain

We already have the Web and Mobile scalper for active options traders who need faster execution and a focused trading setup. Now, we have brought that execution experience into the Option Chain itself.

Imagine you’re tracking the NIFTY 25,200 CE from the Option Chain. After reviewing details like price, liquidity, and OI, you want to buy the contract. With Scalper Mode enabled, simply hover over the strike and click Buy to place the order instantly, without opening the order window.

You can also open Market Depth directly from the Option Chain to review bids and offers without leaving your view. If you decide to trade, you can place your order instantly from the same Market Depth window using Scalper Mode. By bringing Market Depth and order execution together, you can assess liquidity and respond to live market activity.

To get started, open Settings from the Option Chain and select Customise under the Scalper section. This takes you to the Scalper Settings panel, where you can configure the preferences that match the way you trade. Once configured, turn on the Scalper Mode toggle in the Option Chain. You can also set or adjust the order quantity directly from the same screen before placing a Buy, Sell, or Exit order.

Drag-and-drop Position Management

Entering a trade is only the beginning. The real work starts once the position is open. With Scalper Mode inside the Option Chain, your open positions remain visible alongside the strikes you’re tracking, making it easier to monitor the market and react without moving to another screen.

The position card displays key details such as your quantity, average price, and realised and unrealised P&L, giving you a quick view of how the trade is performing. From the same card, you can Buy, Sell, Exit, or adjust your position without leaving the Option Chain.

As the market moves, you can simply drag and drop your position to another strike to roll it, and adjust quantities directly from the Option Chain. By keeping your positions, market data, and execution together, the Option Chain becomes more than just a place to analyse trades. It becomes the workspace where you can manage your trades from entry to exit.

Analyse Option Charts Without Leaving the Chain

The Option Chain can help you identify a strike, but the chart gives you a clear view of how its premium has moved. You can now open the chart of any Call or Put directly from the Option Chain by clicking the chart icon next to the strike.

The Option Chain remains visible on the left while the selected chart opens on the right. This allows you to study the premium movement while continuing to compare nearby strikes, open interest, volume, and other options data. You can also move between strikes or switch from a Call to a Put with a single click.

Additional Columns and Customisation in the Option Chain

We’ve added new analytical columns and expanded the customisation options in the Option Chain, so you can view the data that matters most to your trading. With more than 20 columns to choose from, you can enable only the metrics you need and arrange them to suit your workflow.

The new analytical columns include:

  • Intrinsic Value
  • Time Value
  • Breakeven Point
  • Intrinsic Value Futures
  • Time Value Futures
  • Probability of Profit (POP)

You can enable or disable these through Column Customisation and reorder them to keep your most-used metrics together. For example, if you regularly compare OI Change, Volume, IV, and Delta, you can place those columns next to each other instead of scanning across the entire Option Chain.

You can also use Quick Glance Customisation to control the market-wide indicators displayed at the top of the Option Chain. Metrics like India VIX, PCR, and Max Pain can be turned on or off depending on the context you need while analysing a contract. Together, these enhancements give you more flexibility to analyse option contracts without leaving the Option Chain.

Stay Focused on the Market

The Option Chain has always been where options traders analyse the market. With Scalper Mode, it now becomes the place where you can analyse, execute faster, and manage your trades without breaking your flow.

From one-click order placement to drag-and-drop position management, everything now comes together in one flow.
