Group Your Positions Easily on FYERS

When you trade multiple positions, the Positions tab can quickly turn into a long list of numbers. Profits, losses, intraday trades, overnight positions, options, equities. Everything sits together, and during market hours, scanning line by line just to understand your exposure slows you down.

That is where position grouping on FYERS helps.

Position grouping is available on FYERS through the Group by option in the Positions tab. It allows you to organise and separate your positions in different ways.

Why grouping positions matters

You do not usually start by looking at positions one by one. You begin with a broader check. What is working. What is not. How much risk is intraday. How much is being carried forward.

Grouping positions helps you see this clearly by separating the same positions into simple buckets, so the Positions page matches how you actually keep track of your trades.

How position grouping works during the day

Using the Group By option, your positions are arranged into expandable sections based on the category you select. You can switch between these views instantly without leaving the Positions page.

Positions can be grouped in five different ways:

  • Status shows all, open, and closed positions, making it easy for you to focus only on active trades or review exits made during the day.

  • P&L separates positions into profit and loss, helping you quickly see what is positive and what needs attention.

  • Underlying & expiry groups stock and index positions to give you a clearer view of where your positions are placed.

  • Products separates intraday, overnight, and MTF trades, showing short-term versus carry-forward positions.

  • Symbol type groups equity, options, and futures positions so different instruments do not get mixed together.

Positions that you close during the day remain visible under Status β†’ Closed till the end of the trading session. This makes it easier for you to review exits without switching screens or breaking your flow.

How to group positions on FYERS

  1. Open Portfolio β†’ Positions on FYERS (App or Web)

  2. Select Group By

  3. Choose how you want to group your positions

  4. Expand or collapse groups to view individual trades

  5. Use search along with Group By to quickly find a specific position

Built for active trading

Position grouping is designed to reduce clutter when markets are busy. You switch views based on what you want to see at that moment, not based on how positions are listed.

Open the Positions tab on FYERS and try grouping your positions the next time you are managing multiple trades.
