Introducing Traded Price on Charts

For all the traders who enjoy drag & drop trading using the charts on FYERS Web, there’s good news for you! We are the first stockbroker in India to have implemented “Traded price on the charts!” This is particularly useful for intraday traders who enter & exit the same scrip multiple times during a day. Previously, you were able to view the average price on the chart as a result of repeated buying & selling. From now onwards, you will also be able to view the exact traded prices as displayed below.

Each arrow indicates an executed order. You can get the exact traded price by hovering over the respective icons displayed on the chart itself. You will get the quantity and the traded price. The blue arrows indicate that you have purchased the scrip and red indicates you have sold the scrip. Also ,the direction of the arrows indicate whether your position is long (Up) or short (Down). As you can see, I have traded multiple times in Yes Bank today and you are able to view the trading pattern. This is a visual aid will immensely help intraday traders, scalpers, jobbers who are looking for minor fluctuations in stock prices. For instance, you can see how you can view the scale-in and scale-out of the trade in Yes bank today.

How traded price on chart helps:

  1. It helps you visualize your trades easily.
  2. It gives you a break-up of scale-in & scale-out on the chart thereby helping you assess your performance with little to no additional effort.
  3. It saves your time as you no longer have to visit your order book/trade book from time to time as the traded prices are already displayed on the charts.
  4. You no longer have to remember your latest entry/exit prices.
  5. It helps to manage your P&L and position sizing more effectively.

How to enable traded price on charts

This feature is implemented by default on the platform. You can also enable/disable the traded prices on charts by checking the “Show Executions” under the trading Settings Tab as shown below:

Things to know:

  • The traded prices will be visible only for the intraday period. After the market closes, the trade details will be erased from the charts.
  • Trades that are carry-forwarded from a previous trading session will not be visible on the charts. To get the details of such trades later, you can check your contract notes or ledger reports.
  • The trade prices will be erased from the charts at different timings for NSE and MCX due to the different timings of the exchange and back-end processes. This is done after the market closes and before the next trading session begins. Please be aware of this when trading.

We are excited to bring implement this feature for our valuable clients and to further simplify your trading experience on the web. If you find this feature useful, do tell your fellow trading friends about us and refer them to us. If you have any doubts or clarifications, feel free to ask us in the comments section below.

Happy Trading!

a video on each new feature will help, thanks in advance.

  • Avatar pramod kumar says:

Sir, why nobody allows to sell or buy half or partial quantity in BO and CO order type? and how to place stoploss in Regular Intraday type of orders at the time of trade execution.

  • Avatar Ujwal says:

Today I traded Titan 100 qty and I had the position size in the position window properly, but when I placed the mouse over the arrow mark on the chart….it was showing 8 qty and second entry same 100 qty, it was showing 78 qty.
    Some error.

  • Avatar Ujwal says:

Upper and lower Circuit band prices needs to be mentioned on the chart corner.
    Very very crucial.

  • Avatar Manu Manjunath K R says:

Thank you for bringing such a good feature. I only ask you is can u make it feasible to pledge our stocks for margin and tender my stocks for buyback & OFS online instead of giving mail, send physical forms.
Also if bonds,NCDs is introduced it will be a great help as we can get everything under one platform.

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Hi Manjunath, We just got our DP recently. The first step is to make everything work effectively and in an uninterrupted manner and speed up the account opening process. Thereafter, we’ll take up developments one by one. I just want to give you a heads up that it will take time. I do understand the inconvenience of having to wait and send forms and stuff. With regards to NCDs, it will launch when the product is more popular. Currently, there is hardly any liquidity in these instruments on the exchange. Also, the ticket size is relatively larger for retail investors. They much rather invest in debt funds rather than NCDs as they will get a diversified debt portfolio.

I use FYERS ONE, an old desktop type user and I love it. Thanks for everything and hope you continue sending more tools. One question though – is there any way, we can place simultaneously multiple orders viz, a straddle sell or a covered options trade or a butterfly – do you have any tools to find suitable option strategies giving maximum loss vs (minimum to maximum) gain using various strikes and expiries? It’ll be of great use to us. If it doesn’t exist, kindly offer this feature so that we can trade it from there itself. I’ve already ditched Zerodha for Fyers One.

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Hi Sukhen, Glad you like it. Yeah there are many more things in our roadmap. Just ensuring that the features we develop are the ones that you want. I would just like to let you know that our focus has shifted from FYERS One to our web platform for a while. We shall continue to offer FYERS One though. Improving the experience for options trading and especially options strategies is a vision as of now. Haven’t yet started as our hands are full with other developments. Will do it soon.

No comments about Zerodha :-). Thanks for choosing to trade with us.

      • Avatar Sukhen K Mitra says:

        Hi Tejas,
Your reply has made me more than happy . Being an ex-IT guy, my personal view is that browser based platforms are a layer away from the market and that may cause delay in getting the quotes. Your platform FYERS One is really great, aiming international standards. Don’t please abandon FYERS One (the independent platform on the OS) in future for old scalper guys like us and plz offer us the tools that you are planning to implement at FYERS Web.

Again, many many thanks and best regards

Hello, Today I traded through Fyers 1st time.
    Gr8 experience.
Easy order placement, automatically position pending position close in BO. On screen profit / loss calculation.

I would like to suggest you few things: (Hope you don’t mind)
    1) Bollinger Band needs more settings options like Field & Moving Average Type.
    2) Android mobile app doesn’t support Devnagari numeric.
As I’m using Marathi language for my mobile display language, Watchlist & After taking position application keep crashing until and unless I changed the language.
    3) Mobile order placement is not that much easy as desktop.

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Hi Naveen, Glad you like the experience. We try and simplify the experience to the best extent.

      1. You are the first person who has asked us this. We’ll check the feasibility of doing this.
      2. Our mobile app will be revamped. It’s currently work in progress.
      3. Yes, I agree with you. Hence, we decided to re-do the app.

      • Avatar Naveen Jhavare-Patil. says:

        Thanks!
        Some more is here… 😅
Please also add tool like High & Low mark.
        Day High-Low.
        Candle High-Low.
        High-Low till 2pm

  • Avatar Srinivas Chitneedi says:

    Great feature.
3 most important features expecting from you..
    1. Screener
    2. Alerts
    3. Volume Profile.

Is there any chance to get these in near future??

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

      Hey Srinivas, Thanks!

      1. We want to build a unique screener. Hence saving it for later! It is a priority so we need to take it seriously.
      2. Alerts and screeners are like siblings. It’ll be done together.
      3. TradingView has not made it available to third parties. We have followed up with them more than anyone else and it might happen in the near future. Can’t tell for sure as of now.

      • Avatar Chandu says:

        Hello Tejas,

Do bring cloud based price alerts as soon as possible. Whatever is available in Fyer one is not cloud based. Also try to introduce GTC/GTT order types recently Zerodha brought this and very helpful for BTST/ Gorilla/ Swing traders. Try to arrange some meetups with traders

      • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Hi Chandu, We’ll look into it. Yes, FYERS One is not cloud-based and it most likely won’t be. GTT/GTC is not a priority at the moment as we are currently held up with other developments. However, we’ll look into this in the future. Thanks for your feedback.

  • Avatar PRAMOD KUMAR says:

You guys are doing great job. I hope you will add more features like this for day traders & scalpers.
Please add shortcut keys to buy sell without opening buy sell panels. one click entry, exit like foreign brokers like Das Pro, speed broker etc.

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Thanks! Yeah, we intend to. We have been adding features based on feedback ever since we launched FYERS Web. You can open the buy/sell window with these shortcut keys:

      Buy –> Shift + B
      Sell –> Shift + S

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

IF that’s too much, you can also open an order window from the chart itself and once the order is placed you can Drag & Drop to modify your orders on the chart itself! Apart from that if you want to avoid the order window, then you can use the Price Ladder. For more information, you can read this post – https://fyers.in/price-ladder-trading/

  • Avatar PRAMOD KUMAR says:

I am happy to see this feature on Fyers charts. because I do scalping & exit and enter trade many times.

  • Avatar satish says:

    Nice.
Zerodha has recently released a feature where in we can see a list of 20 buyers & sellers instead of five. Hope we can have the same. It will be very helpful for trading.

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Hi Satish, Yeah we know but that’s not a priority at the moment. We are currently focused on other upcoming launches. Will take this up at a later date.

  • Avatar Vipul Nath says:

Hey how are you guys able to bring in so many innovative things with such a small setup? Is there anyone behind you, just out of curiosity. Thnks 😉

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Hi Vipul, We are no longer a small setup. Also, we’re not funded or backed by anyone. More focused on delivering a great trading experience than getting funded.

  • Avatar Rajeev Prajapati says:

Hey Tejas, this is an amazing feature indeed. I would really appreciate the kinda efforts you guys are putting in are exceptional.

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Thanks, Rajeev. This was in the making for a while. We received this feedback from a group of very particular clients. We found that it is valuable and finally got to introduce it.

  • Avatar Anuj says:

Hi Tejas, its good , plz also provide tools to plot indicator on indicator.

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

TradingView has not yet made this available to third parties Anuj. We hope that changes soon! In the meantime, we will continue to introduce other useful features.

  • Avatar prabil says:

Nice and helpful for traders. and when we reload fyers, web corporate actions are showing in chart even if it is disabled . I have once complained to the support team. Is this a bug.

    • Avatar Harshal says:

      Hey Prabil,
Once you select hide Corp Action wait for 5-10 Sec and then reload, as it worked for me.

      • Avatar prabil says:

Thanks, Harshal for the reply, that work for time being and later some other day if I just reload the web corporate actions popup again.
