Introducing our New Back Office (Phase-1)

I’m happy to announce that we are live with a new back office! With nearly 4x growth in our client base during the last one year, we have taken a few measures to ensure that we can effectively deal with the growing customers and business requirements at FYERS. The new setup has resolved some issues we were facing with the previous version. Here are some noteworthy upgrades in the new back office:

  1. Universal Login – If you login to your FYERS account, you can access back-office directly. You no longer need to login separately.
  2. UPI payments are integrated alongside the existing payment gateway. We will post more about this in a separate post on the notice board.
  3. A simpler user experience. Yes, it could be better, but it’s a start 😊.
  4. The report format is made simpler to understand.
  5. The homepage has a segment-wise snapshot of funds.
  6. Access to Equities, Currencies (NSE, BSE) and Commodities segment at one place under the “Smart” Tab.
  7. Segment-wise trade details through Global & Global Details Tab.
  8. You can download Contract Notes & Margin statements through “Bills & Contracts” Tab.
  9. Get details of collaterals.
  10. Pay-In & Pay-out requests are made simpler.

With this update, we estimate that we will be able to handle our expanding operations without any delays. Account opening delays will be reduced and the 30 Day Challenge results will be published sooner each month. Please note that this is Phase-1 of the launch and as always, we will continue to refine our platform to make it most useful to our clients. We look forward to implementing Phase-2 in the near future. You can give us your feedback in the comments section below. I have kept this a bit short just to address the main points. If you feel I have missed out on something you can let me know and we’ll address your queries as soon as possible.

    I dug the WHOLE back office but couldn’t find an option to export trade book with time stamp to Excel. Please advice on the steps. I tried with Support team but they keep giving the same answer, check BackOffice.

      Hey Jevs you can take your trade reports but currently, there is no functionality to export trade book with timestamps to excel.

    Hi, Has the old BO site not functional now ? i have not been able to login for last few days. New BO doesn’t have any refeeral login option

      Hi Charles, the old BO can be used only for accessing data for the previous financial year which ends 31st March 2019. We are going to introduce the referral login in new back office in the near future.

    Fyers team – I had purchased shares of Drreddy last week, however snce the day I had purchased which has been a week the shares are not visible on the my holdings. When I compalined about the same yesterday I was told it will be resolved by EOD. However as of now the issue remains and I am not able to exit the trade.
    When I again called Support team of Fyers I was told that there is no clarity as to when this back office issue will be resolved.
    Is this the kind of service expected in todays day and time where issues take days and weeks to resolve. I wanted to get out of teh trade but am facilng losses due to the incompetence of Fyers.
    Is Fyers the only trading platform in India – Let me assure you it is not and with blunders of this magnitude I would not like to take the risk of associating with such brands.
    I am still clueless on the resolution of this problem.

      Hi Dipankar, since we were in the process of shifting the back office, the holdings file had an issue and thus, it got delayed. It has been resolved and you won’t face such issues going forward. Although you are pissed off, I’d like to tell you that shifting a back office is a daunting and complicated task which takes months and despite multiple checks and balances, some teething issues must be expected. We have resolved everything that has been reported. Please note that the holdings hadn’t disappeared as such. It was available in the back-end but it’s just that the software formats needed to be corrected by the new back-office software guys. This is not an excuse for the delay. Just trying to be transparent about why our clients have faced inconveniences in the last 2 weeks. Such an issue will not be repeated going forward as the issue you reported has been resolved. You can check your holdings by today EOD.

      EOD have passed but my purchased stock is still not available in Holdings or Positions, same had happened on 23rd Oct when I spoke with Fyers helpdesk, when they said and than emailed me that the issue will be resolved by EOD on 23rd Oct, alas nothing happened.

      Now we all understand basics of upgrading systems but the issues being faced by Fyers clients can only mean that the upgradation or shifting of backend has happened very haphazardly & inefficiently.

      However coming back to my issue, when will I be able to see my stock in positions and will be able to exit the same as per my choosing?????

        Hi Dipankar, there were some teething troubles in the new back office. Holdings have been updated. You were unable to view it because the POA flag parameter was marked as no. It will be updated on the front-end so that you take the necessary action at your end. Yours is a unique case. In the next trading session, you will be able to transact in it. Apologies for the inconvenience.

    Due to New Back Office my payout request not credited to my bank account since one week this is trust less i am following with support team as i replying only due to back office changes we facing problem you will receive money is this Fyers?

      Hi, Your payout request has already been processed from our end by NEFT. The funds will be credited to you tomorrow morning. As you know, we have been posting notices on the notice board regarding our back-office shifting process. We finally finished the shifting process and we went live with the new back offce as mentioned in the blog.

      As per feedback from our support team, you had requested a payout on 21st October and as mentioned above, there was a one day delay due to the back office process. It is unfair to say that we are untrustworthy. We have been very transparent about it.

        Your payout was done from our end but at bank end and the fund has been reverted back to us and we will be reprocessing it today. This is unique and is applicable in your case alone. Everyone else has received payouts. I believe you have been informed regarding this.

        I understand but my comodity payout also not received in my bank account so request to plese look in this and resolve because I need this amount urgently. I contounsly touch with your team from last three days but problem still pending.

        As confirmed by you today, you have received the funds. Please note that the delays have happened due to the old back office and the shifting process.

    A graphical column of profit and loss at a single glance would be great. I have seen it on another platform. Thanks for the new back office. Hoping there will be good updates in the coming months.

  • Make a similar simple page for partners to track leads, opened accounts and income details. It will help them to track leads and follow up if needed.

    Another suggestion is to make segment addition simpler and give an option for that in back office. Also mobile number and bank account addition option also should be there.

      We can do this but we need to make some structural changes in the back-end. We will try to work around this and try to come up with something.

    I just tried the new backoffice software its beautiful. One thing I am wondering is where is Referral login option? Please let us know if you stopped your referral program? Because I see no option for referral program.
