Fyers Web – Watchlists

watchlists fyers

We are happy to introduce one of the most awaited updates on Fyers Web – Multiple Watchlists. Now, you can not only create multiple customized Watchlists but also load the extensive list of pre-defined watchlists on various indices such NIFTY 50, NIFTY Bank etc. Additionally, we have integrated some other useful features that would make your trading experience even much smoother on Fyers Web. In this article, we’ll look at the salient features of the all-new updated watchlists on Fyers Web.

1. No Limit on Creating Watchlists:

With this new update, you can now create as many Watchlists as you want. There is absolutely no limit on the number of watchlists you create. In case you are new to the platform and wish to know how to create a watchlist, then login to Fyers Web and refer the image below:

An important thing to note here is, after creating a customized Watchlist all the changes such as adding or removing a scrip get autosaved on the platform.

2. Ready-made Watchlists on Indices:

We have introduced all the important predefined watchlists on various NSE indices such as Nifty 50, Nifty Bank, Nifty FMCG etc. This would help you save your time by adding individual index stocks to the Watchlist. There are over 18 predefined indices watchlists embedded into the watchlist section. Have a look at the image below:

3. Dedicated Watchlists for Options Trading:

For an active Options trader, it becomes crucial to track Call/Put Option contracts which are close to the previous day’s closing price of BankNifty/Nifty index. Searching such contracts on the “Option Chain” is still a hassle. Traders would love to get a quick access to such data. Keeping this thing in mind, we have come up with an excellent feature that makes you access the Call/Put Option contracts which are close to the previous day’s closing price of BankNifty/Nifty index with a click of a mouse. You can refer the image below:

The important thing to note here is, the contracts displayed in these Watchlists are based on the previous day’s closing price of the Index. Thus, effectively contracts are provided 10 strike prices above and 10 strike prices below the previous day’s closing price for both the Call & Put types. This can be explained with a help of an example. In the images shown below, you will understand that how exactly the contracts are shown in the pre-defined watchlists.

4. Customize-able View:

The new update on Watchlist lets you customize the Watchlist data according to your requirement. You can sort the Symbol Name (alphabetically) and the Last traded price & Value change (ascending/descending) on the watchlists panel. This feature indeed makes your work more convenient when you want to fetch a specific data instantly. You may refer the image below:

The advantages of having data sorting are as follows:

a. You can get the highest positively moving scrips on the watchlists and vice versa.
b. You can sort the highest priced scrips on the watchlists and vice versa.
c. Alphabetical sorting helps search a specific scrip in an Index instantly.

To conclude, we look forward to your valuable feedback on this update and expect that it will help you immensely to analyze and fetch the data much faster. Based on the requirements, we intend to introduce more watchlists features in the near future. If you like our recent developments and want us to continue developing stuff that you will find useful, do refer your friends to us.

  • Could you please create another watchlist of all FNO stocks? That will be very helpful. Thanks

Hello, i really appreciate your efforts for proving great platform. i just have one request to you that please add FNO watchlist option in fyers web because its very difficult to trade without FNO watchlist. otherwise everything is superb. Thanks.

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Hi Onkar, Thanks for appreciating us. Give us suggestions on how you want us to add an F&O watchlist. The reason I ask is that there are too many contracts and creating pre-defined watchlists for all of them is not feasible on the web as it will make the watchlist very crowded.

  • Arnab says:

Please introduce stop loss limit orders in bracket and cover order segment as it will help many a lot to plan the trade

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Hey that will be done in Phase 2. Next week, we are launching F&O trading using Bracket Orders. I’m excited about that.

  • Sushil Kumar S says:

Hi, I use Fyers web on Google Chrome browser. Of late, due to some issues in the browser, I switched it over to Internet Explorer browser which is quite faster than Chrome, but I am not able to see any indices on the right side of the window nor I am able to see any icon to add any indices. Can someone help me with regard to this.

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Do send us a screen recording or screenshots with timestamp to support@fyers.in.

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Hi Sushil, Fyers Web works just fine on Chrome. If you are not able to load it properly, it could be an internet issue and not a browser issue as we haven’t received any complaints so far. You can get in touch with our support team by writing to support@fyers.in.

  • thanks for launching pivots.

  • Dharun Rao says:

Fyers One and Fyers Web: On both platforms, the watchlist gets deleted automatically………..!! It is superrrrrr annoying that you take so much effort to make a list of stocks and it gets deleted and studies that were done on them also gets lost. I had four watchlists (consisted around 20 stocks each) that I had been using for months and one day all the list vanished. I have tried contacting the Fyers support team and all they have to say is “you have to create the watchlist again sir”. And a brief background………I use to use Fyers One desktop platform and when it happened first time, I thought there might be a glitch in the software itself. So, I moved to the web and the same issue.

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Hi Dharun, I completely understand your plight. There was a bug which has effected 2-3 of our clients including you. We have already fixed the bug and that won’t happen again. Since this is the first time it has happened on Fyers Web, I guess the support person you were speaking to didn’t know how to respond. Will inform them regarding this too. Fyers One requires you to save the settings each time. Several people find this a bit time-consuming. I recommend you use Fyers Web as our support for that product is much faster.

  • Prakash says:

The variety of watchlists is really cool! Nice one.. I am considering account opening with Fyers very soon.

sir can you please add a predefined watchlist for LONG BUILDUP, SHORT BUILDUP , LONG COVER AND SHORT COVER where all FNO stocks gets daily updated?

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Hi Amit, We like that you have so many requirements. We’ll do them one by one if you don’t mind.

      • Amit Pandey says:

Sir I m just giving some suggestions. And I think the above mentioned features will benefit others traders too.
Actually after trading through fyers and enjoying the experience I have started feeling myself as member of fyers family rather then it’s clients . Therefore I always pinpoint even the smallest issues and want to improve its product and services.

Don’t mind sir i always put too many requests for adding this and that but my problem is that i like every thing in perfect condition. Even a smallest defect effect me a lot.

      • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Thanks for taking so much interest Amit, I really appreciate it. We will make new changes but we’ll take them up one by one. We already have a long list of features to work on at the moment.

sir is it possible to add a feature in fyersweb where when we click on watchlist section all the predefined watchlist sector shows the percentage change in front of them and if possible with colors like red when index is negative and green when index is positive.?

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Hi Amit, The % change already shows in the watchlist in brackets. We have tried to keep the user interface simple without adding too many blinking lights.

      • Amit kumar pandey says:

Sir i m asking to show percentage change in predefined sector list which appers when we click on the symbol “three parallel lines”.
It will helps to see which sectors is performing today by showing the percentage change in their side .

Hope you understand what i m trying to say. And i already know that percentage change is already available in the watch list but i m asking for percentage change in index list.

  • Pushpa says:

    Hi Tejas,

I’m looking forward for Pine Editor feature for creating a custom indicator i.e. https://blog.tradingview.com/en/tradingview-s-pine-script-introduction-203/

Any plans of adding this feature to fyers-web?

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Hello Pushpa, PineScript is a proprietary language of TradingView which is exclusively reserved for their clients. We don’t have any plans on adding it on our platform in the foreseeable future. This is FYI.

      • Puneet Arora says:

Okay, can we code our own strategy on Fyers, just like Pinescript? I am looking for a trading platform where I can see historical as well as real-time Buy/Sell arrows, based on my trading strategy.

      • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

PineScript is proprietary to the trading view platform and they have kept it exclusive to tradingview.com only as of now. Until they change their mind about it, we won’t be able to offer it on FYERS Web.

  • sathish kumar says:

like nifty 50 etc., can you also create for all F&O scrips as well as all F&O futures as well. This will also be really helpful

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Good suggestion, we’ll see what we can do about this.

    • Pavan talwani says:

Sir, when will you introduce ‘Alert’ feature ? If we buy yearly subscription directly from tradingview , we get many features. You can introduce the various feature at discounted rate.

      • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Hi Pavan, If you really want alert features, I suggest you subscribe to TradingView. Our business model and features are different from tradingview. We are a trading platform where fees are paid on the go when you trade Vs TradingView which has a lot of data, indicators etc. at a fixed subscription cost. We won’t move to subscription model in the foreseeable future. Just saying.. Also, alerts are not our immediate priority. We’ll take it up once we finish up with our existing line of developments.

  • sathish kumar says:

This is good. Also if you can add Pivot Points indicator it wil be really helpful

sir there are lots of tools , features and settings available in fyers web and even after using it from day 1 of launch i m still unable to figure out some of the tools and settings. can you pls make detailed video explaining this or atleast a manual to understand the different tools.

  • Sulochana says:

Hi Tejas, Finally a great relief in terms of Watchlist. Thanks for the same. However, I have a concern – In Fyers Web > Dashboard > Holdings, I am not able to see the ‘Avg. Buy price’, ‘Total value at Cost’, ‘Profit & Loss Amount & %’ columns. This info is crucial (at least the avg. buy price per share column) and is available in all the trading platforms that I have used in the past decade. (I am having to go to my personal saved order files to see at what price I had purchased the same which is very tedious). I am really surprised this basic feature is not there in this view (Or I am missing them – but checked each and every button on the screen incl. settings in case they were hidden but could not find them).

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Hi Sulochana, glad you like the new watchlist functionality. Hope you’ve gone through all the features. Yes, I do agree that currently, the holdings tab does not show buy average price. This is because our back-office is not integrated with the front-end. In the near future, we will be upgrading the back-office and once that happens, you will get a lot of additional features. We wish the process was faster, but unfortunately, these things take time. In the meanwhile, we will be launching other features.

If you want to get the buy average price, there are 2 ways:
      1. Back-office
      2. Contract notes

  • Narender Singh says:

Can you increase the depth size per comment thread? I see that the reply button disappears after the 3rd comment. It makes it difficult to create a discussion in the comments. Or maybe we can have a forum linked to the comments. Forum is needed anyways.
Anyhow, I was checking that “Pivot Points” are discussed above and I know you’re bringing it soon. I just want to add that please modify it and don’t introduce it as-is from Trading View. When the one at TV is plotted, the chat shrinks and there isn’t much of information that we can see. So, it needs to be customized and should work on a zoomed-in chart.

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Hi Narendra, I guess we’ll have to upgrade the comments plugin. The response has been higher than expected. Yes, a forum is certainly needed but at the moment, we are grappling with a lot of things on our table.. so one step at a time. We are in touch with TradingView with regards to pivot points and it will be done soon. Just can’t commit a deadline as of now. We’ll see what we can do about it.

  • Vikesh says:

Please check Nifty Pharma its showing banknifty scripts.

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Hi Vikesh, please close the application and re-open it. If it happens again, let me know. We have fixed the bug. Thanks for reporting.

The watchlist feature on Fyers Web is superb. I really liked it. I feel it would be nice if the absolute change and %change values in separate columns sortable individually.

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Thanks Surya, I’m glad you do. The layout is convenient for us to operate with. It’s simple and easy. We wouldn’t like to change that bit. Hope you understand.. Trust me, you’ll get used to it.

  • ayush says:

GREAT JOB.Does saved watch list will be available on Mobile??

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

No, the mobile app is supposed to be light and cannot accomodate so many scrips at one time. However, we will try and load the mobile watchlist on Fyers Web in the near future.

  • Karthik Yadav says:

Hi Fyers, am happy with the Ready-made Watchlist feature. I can easily switch to another as i want. But i want to know whether my created Watchlist will be visible even if i switch from Fyers One to Fyers Web, Since i have many watchlist created according to my convenience.

  • Abhilash says:

Hi, The watchlist watch I created will it disappear at any point in time? I mean is there any restriction that I can use one watchlist for certain No. of days and after that I cannot.

  • Rohit says:

    This is really great!..
I have a question on the scrips adding. Lets say if I add scrip on Fyers Exe platform. Will it get sync in Fyers Web by default or do i need to add the scrips again on web platform ?.
It will be really helpfull if the watchlist gets synced by default.

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Hi Rohit, no that’s not currently possible because the mechanism used in the back-end is different. Uhmm.. but we’ll see what we can do about it in the future. It is easier for us to integrate mobile watchlists on Fyers Web, if that helps.

  • Nisha says:

Can we add a pre-defined indicator to all the stocks present in the custom watchlist in a go or should we add it individually?

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

I think you are a new client and new to trading. Please give our support team your details and they shall call you back to give you a demo. The query you asked was really a basic one. Anyways, the answer to that is that that the charting template is fixed until you change so each time you load a chart, the indicator settings will remain the same for all the scrips which are loaded. Thx.

  • Rohan says:

    HI sir ,
My name is Rohan. I am a client of yours company. I am using fyers web last 3 month and it is very good and user friendly web interface. Much better than Zerodha. Now in fyers web multiple watch list came and its very use full for me. Thank you sir for making such a good platform.

  • Shashank says:

    Very Impressive one….!!!!!!!
Have checked with the watch-list feature and was able to create as many as possible, very useful.

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Thanks Shashank! Also, make sure to checkout the Indices watchlist. YOu can get access to all the major NSE spot indices in one place. Loading charts of different indices is made really easy. A few years ago when I was an active trader, I tried searching for a platform which had this feature but there weren’t any. So, we decided to build these features someday in the future. It feels good to have done it for real.

      • amit pandey says:

sir i was also waiting for this feature.
But really surprised when you launched predefined watchlist as this is not present in any web platform .
I m very thankful to you for this feature .
This is also present in fyers one but charting in fyers web is more easy and enjoyable than fyersone.

AND pls launch Pivots as soon as possible.

      • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Thanks Amit, glad you like it! Make sure to checkout:
        1. Bank Nifty & Nifty near, next and far expiry watchlists.
        2. Indices Watchlist which has real-time feed and charts of all major NSE indices.

Pivot points will come soon. I know this is taking time..

  • URVISH MEHTA says:

Do you have pre-defined watch list for UNDERLINE F&O?

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Urvish, Only for major indices (Nifty & BankNifty). If you want to create a watchlist with F&O for stocks, you’d have to do it manually.

  • Suraj Bhalla says:

This is the most amazing feature I’ve ever seen on any trading platforms. Unlimited watchlists is just a next level trading experience Fyers. Kudos!

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Thanks Suraj! Feel free to spread the word. It would be great if more traders can use our features on Fyers Web.

  • Satya says:

How many scrips can I add and how many watchlists can I create?

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

      Hi Satya,

      1. You can create any number of watchlists.
      2. Each watchlist can contain a maximum of 30 scrips.

  • D. karthikeyan says:

Is there any limitations to create a watchlist?

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

No, we have not put any limitations or restrictions. You can create any number of watchlists. But please note, we still restrict our users to a maximum of 30 scrips per watchlist.

  • Dinesh Kumar says:

Well done. It is India’s 1st web application which is providing pre-defined watchlist.

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

Looks like you’ve traded with a lot of other brokers. We actually wanted to introduce this a few months ago but other developments took precedence over this. We’re finally glad that we rolled this one out.

      • Dinesh Kumar says:

Yes, I am trading from last 7 years in the market with all the discount broker and full-time broker. But no has provided such an advance application.

  • Ajinkya says:

Can I import and export my watchlist.

    • Tejas Khoday Tejas Khoday says:

No, our web version is not meant for those who want to make use of the data in an external application.
