I opened the same NIFTY 50 Index, 1 minute chart in two different tabs of the same browser, on the same FYERS platform.
At 11:33 AM, the candle displayed in the two tabs was different. I have attached the screenshot for reference.
How is this possible if both tabs are showing the exact same instrument and timeframe from the same FYERS platform?
If the candle data itself can differ between two tabs, which one is the actual market data that a trader should trust?
Please explain what causes this discrepancy. Is this a chart synchronization issue, tick aggregation issue, caching issue, or something else on the FYERS side?
For a trader, this is not a small cosmetic issue. We rely on 1 minute OHLC data to make real time decisions. If the same FYERS platform can show two different candles for the same minute, this needs to be properly investigated.
Please check the 11:33 AM NIFTY 1 minute candle and clarify why the two tabs displayed different data.
Hi @ravi_goud , that’s concerning to hear. We’ll check this and investigate the discrepancy in the 11:33 AM NIFTY 50 candle with the shared Screenshot. We’ll get back to you with an update.
Hi @ravi_goud , we checked the discrepancy you highlighted in the 11:33, 11:31 & 11:32 AM NIFTY 50 1-minute candle. The difference between the two tabs can occur because each chart instance loads historical data and starts receiving live market updates independently. There can be a short gap between the historical data loading and the start of live updates. If trades occur during this gap, they may not be captured in the live candle, which can result in differences in the OHLC and volume values between two chart instances.
I completely understand your concern, @ravi_goud . You shouldn’t have to keep refreshing the page during live market hours. The difference can depend on how the data is received and processed, along with factors such as the internet connection and system performance. The chart continuously receives live updates, so in some cases there can be a temporary difference between chart instances.
Could you let me know how frequently you’re facing this issue? This will help to understand the frequency of the discrepancy better.
