Fyers Automate: Great When It Works, But Reliability Is a Serious Concern
I have genuinely been a big fan of Fyers Automate. As someone who isn’t a coder, it has been a boon to my trading style and has allowed me to automate strategies without relying heavily on third-party tools. When it works, it works really well.
But when it doesn’t, the consequences can be serious.
Recently, my automation started placing orders without any apparent trigger or action from my side. Fortunately, I had additional safety mechanisms in place. Without them, this could potentially have resulted in a catastrophic financial loss.
I currently have 20+ strategies/automations, which brings me to another major concern: there is no one-click option to stop or disable all scheduled automations. If something goes wrong, manually stopping 20+ schedules is hardly an acceptable emergency procedure for a platform handling real money.
The support experience made things even more concerning. Instead of trying to understand the issue I was reporting, the support representative misunderstood how my automation was configured and then provided incorrect information about how the flowchart would behave. This is particularly dangerous because a user who isn’t familiar with automation logic could rely on that information and make a potentially costly mistake.
I understand that software can have bugs. What I find difficult to accept is the combination of:
-
Unexpected live order execution
-
No global emergency shutdown for automations
-
Incorrect technical information from support
-
Lack of confidence that platform changes won’t break existing automations
I genuinely like Fyers Automate and want to continue using it. That is exactly why I am raising this issue. The product has enormous potential, but when real money is involved, reliability and proper safeguards cannot be treated as secondary concerns.
I would like Fyers to investigate this incident properly, explain what caused the unexpected orders, and seriously consider adding a “Stop All Automations” feature.
