Trading often comes down to staying focused.
As you move through the market, you’re constantly switching between charts, orders, positions, watchlists, and other parts of the platform. None of these actions take long, but the extra clicks throughout the day can interrupt your flow.
That’s why we built Keyboard Shortcuts on FYERS Web.
They help you move through your workflow using simple key combinations, so you can spend less time navigating the platform and more time focused on your trades.
From spotting a stock to placing a trade
Press "/" at any time to see the shortcuts available on the screen you are on.
Suppose you want to analyse Reliance. If it is already in your Watchlist, press W, use the ↑ and ↓ arrow keys to find it, and press Enter to open it. Alternatively, press K from any screen, search for Reliance, and press Enter.
Press Shift + C to open the chart and study the setup.
Before placing the trade, you may want some additional context. Press Shift + D to view Market Depth and check the available buy and sell orders, or press Shift + O to open the Option Chain.
Reliance remains selected as you move between these views, so you can continue your analysis without searching for it again.
When you are ready to place the trade, press Shift + B to open the Buy order window. Use Tab and Shift + Tab to move through the order fields. Press L for a Limit order, M for a Market order or T for a Trigger order. Enter the quantity and price, then press Enter to place the order.
In a few key presses, you can move from finding a stock to analysing it and placing an order with fewer interruptions.
Manage your orders and positions
After placing the order, you’ll naturally want to check whether it has been executed.
Press O to see all your pending orders. If your order is still waiting to be executed, use Shift + E to modify it or Shift + Y to cancel it.
Now, if you want to square off or manage your position, press P to open your Portfolio. From there, switch to the Positions tab, where you can track all your positions.
Select the position using the arrow keys and press Shift + Q to open Quick Exit. Press 2 to exit 50% of your position. If you want to exit the trade completely, press Shift + X. If you’d rather add more quantity, press Shift + M.
The same shortcuts help you stay in control from the moment you place an order until you’re ready to exit the trade.
Learn shortcuts as you trade
You don’t need to remember every keyboard shortcut right away.
Log in to **FYERS **Web and press / whenever you’re unsure to view the shortcuts available for the screen you’re on. You can also access the complete list from Profile → Keyboard Shortcuts.
Start by using the shortcuts you need most often. With regular use, they’ll become a natural part of your workflow.
